Project Management Academy launches their agile certification training course. The course teaches agile methodologies and prepares students for the PMI-ACP® exam.
Project Management Academy® (“PMA”) announced today the launch of its new online agile certification training course for project managers. The course teaches agile fundamentals and prepares students for the PMI-ACP® exam. Many companies are adopting agile methodologies, especially software and technology firms, and PMI’s Agile Certified Practitioner® (PMI-ACP®) credential is expected to become the industry standard for this discipline.
The PMI-ACP® exam tests the ability to comprehend and execute agile methodologies. In addition to ensuring knowledge and proper application of agile practices, a PMI-ACP® credential demonstrates one’s capability to lead a project team using the agile approach.
PMA’s course teaches agile principles, including Scrum, XP, and Lean, while preparing students to pass the PMI-ACP® exam. Using web-based video-on-demand, students can set their own training schedule and pace. Training aids, online resources and over 400 sample questions are included. By completing the course, students also obtain the 21 contact hours required to sit for the exam.
“As agile methodologies become more common in various industries, the PMI-ACP® training course is an opportunity to enhance job skills and take the next step towards certification,” said John Smith, PMA’s president and CEO.
Students can begin taking the PMI-ACP® course in September 2012, and may register directly from the Project Management Academy® website.
